Here at Picstoria Photography, we strive to provide professional services by creating

perfecting lighting setups and scenes,

Our photography services include
recommendations for locations and outfits,
tips on how to prepare for a session,
a range of carefully selected photo props,
dresses for expectant moms,
outfits for babies from newborns up to one year old.

All our packages include digital high-resolution images of your choice, that you choose from a private online proofing gallery.

We firmly believe that photography is a beautiful art that should be accessible to all who value and appreciate it. This belief inspired us to establish an affordable, cozy, safe, and fully equipped home-based studio instead of opting for a commercial space with high rental costs.

Non-refundable but transferable retainer of $100 is required with a signed contract to secure the booking.

Why do packages have different number of photos?

​

It's due to the way photos are captured and edited. Studio photos, taken with artificial lighting, and lifestyle natural light photos go through distinct post-production steps. The editing process for studio photographs tends to be more comprehensive and time-consuming. Each photo becomes a work of art, carefully polished to perfection. Lifestyle photos, on the other hand, do not require the detailed editing.

Copyright and Client's use of photos.

 

The contract states photographer's copyright and ownership of the produced images (per the Copyright Act of Canada). 

Under the Canadian Copyright Act, photographs are protected just like any other artistic works, and the photographer (author) is the first owner of the copyright.

The client’s rights are limited to personal use only. Photographs may not be sold or used in advertising. Clients can share photos with their family and friends (privately and on social media),  and make prints for personal use (for example, holiday cards, photo albums, prints on the wall).

Privacy of your photos.​

 

Our photography contract includes a Model Release clause. This policy allows us to inform our clients that their photos may be shared on our social media platforms (such as Instagram and Facebook), our website, and in our advertising.

 

Under the Canadian Copyright Act, the photographer owns the copyright to any commissioned photographs they take and can use them however they like. This means that even if you sign a contract that doesn't include model release clause, the photographer can still share your photos publicly.

 

That being said, we value and support our clients' privacy preferences. In case a client is not comfortable sharing their photos publicly, they just need to let us know upon booking. There is no additional charge for privacy.

Timing and payment.

​

  • Photo proofs (proofing galleries) are sent during the week following the photo session. Final retouched high-resolution images are guaranteed to be delivered via a private online gallery without watermarks within three weeks after the client makes their selection through the gallery of photo proofs. During less busy seasons, the timing is typically shorter (1-2 weeks), and this will be specified during the session.

  • A non-refundable but transferable to any our future photo sessions deposit is required at booking and will be applied to the cost.

  • No part of any order, including previews and photo proofs, will be delivered until the balance is paid in full. The balance is due on the day of the session.
